I’m a teacher, historian, and writer based in the Pacific Northwest. I teach at Saint Martin’s University, a Benedictine liberal arts school in the South Puget Sound. I cover introductory courses in U.S. history and advanced courses in history of science, history of capitalism, and other thematic areas.

I completed M.A. degrees at the University of Pennsylvania (History and Sociology of Science) and the University of South Carolina (Public History). As an archive and museum specialist, my roles supported the missions of McKissick Museum, Moving Image Research Collections, Ernest F. Hollings Special Collections Library, and the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. My own writing has appeared in Arcadia, Notches, and Genealogies of Modernity.
